Interactive TV
- Canton Elementary
$6,493.67
In the ever-evolving landscape of education, integrating technology is no longer a luxury—it is a necessity. One of the most promising advancements in this space is interactive television/smartboard, which transforms passive learning into active, student-centered engagement. For Texas schools, especially those in underserved or rural areas, securing an Interactive TV/smartboard could catalyze a revolution in how students learn, connect, and prepare for the future. We can equipt classrooms with the hardware needed for real-time interaction, support the development of curriculum-aligned digital content tailored to the TEKS. In conclusion, an Interactive TV Grant for my classroom represents more than just technology—it symbolizes access, innovation, and opportunity.

These “bots” can effectively teach computational thinking and coding through accessible methods like color code and block coding. They are a tangible way to capture student interest while encouraging problem solving, creativity, collaboration, and fostering essential 21st-century skills that they will need for their future.
Sensory Play With A Purpose
- Canton Elementary
$2,925.02
Our goal is to increase academic and social emotional learning by incorporating various sensory activities into our classrooms. By utilizing materials such as sensory bins, light tables, and sensory play accessories into our daily routines, we are giving our youngest students the tactile, hands-on approach to learning in which they thrive best. When at the sensory center, students may engage with a variety of grasping tools to search through colorful rice to find letters or numbers and sort them into categories; integrating foundational academic concepts as well as practicing social emotional skills, and cooperation.
